This patient has signifcant rosacea and marked blood vessel formation around the nose. I treated his
rosacea with oral metronidazole and used a 532 KTP laser to remove the prominant blood vessels.
Multiple treatments may be needed to prevent reformation of these blood vessels. However, if they are
not treated, often enlargement of the nose worsens. This type of nasal enlargment is called "rhinophyma"
and is often described as the WC Fields nose (remember him?) The 532 KTP laser is my favorite laser
because there is little or no down-time from the therapy.
